Description

The Single Sided Dynamic Walk is available in either a medial or lateral version. The most suitable choice will depend on the shape and movement of the ankle during the gait cycle. If the ankle pronates excessively at any point during the gait cycle, then to avoid contact with the AFO, the lateral version should be selected. If the ankle supinates excessively during the gait cycle, the medial version will be the most suitable choice.

The Single Sided Dynamic Walk provides the same function as its double sided counterpart but also possesses characteristics which provide a greater choice when selecting your ideal variant. With both PEEK rods placed along one side of the AFO, a smaller profile is created in the shoe, allowing you a wider choice of suitable footwear.

The PEEK rods on the medial side allow the ankle to supinate without discomfort caused by contact with the brace. The open heel design combined with the low profile foot plate and single sided attachment also allows the use of slim footwear.
